Nature Trail

Environmental education trail

Canyon Park, in Bagni di Lucca, has a Nature Trail with information panels created by the ECOlab project detailing the history, ecology and geology of the Straits of Cocciglia. The route is free to access, and aims to provide an immersive experience and improve awareness of this unique landscape and environment, with the support of additional online resources.

Access: The Nature Trail is open to all and free to access (the route has some barriers for mobility impaired visitors).

The Tessere il Valico project shares the stories of the mountain population through the medium of itinerant street theatre. The project, created by Andrea Mori and Valentina Fanoni, has been performed in Umbria and Tuscany.

ECOlab, Canyon Park’s not-for-profit project, created the nature trail in the Straits of Cocciglia to enhance the enjoyment of the area’s natural heritage and to provide educational material about its ecology.
